Facial Mask: 3 Simple Ways

Facial Mask: 3 Simple Ways

Looking for another homemade facial mask cause the others aren’t working out so well? BANG! Homemade honey facial masks are easy and simple to make. Honey is perhaps nature’s most nutritious food, containing nutrients and enzymes not even identified by scientists today. Did you know for centuries, people have used honey masks as a treatment for curing other marks, acne scars, and blemishes! I don’t want to bore you with the history of honey, so let’s get started:

Honey Face Mask for Acne-Prone Skin

Ingredients: Just honey and cinnamon.

  • 3 teaspoons raw honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Preparation: Mix honey and cinnamon together. Leave the mask on for 10-30 minutes. The antibacterial properties of both honey and cinnamon are especially beneficial for acne-prone skin.

Application: Wash your face first, and then simply spread a layer evenly on your face.

SJAY’s Tip: Try to use organic honey, rather than traditional cooking honey.

Honey Face Mask for Sensitive Skin

Ingredients: Honey and aloe vera gel.

  • 2 teaspoons raw honey
  • 1 teaspoon aloe vera gel

Preparation + Application: Stir the aloe and honey together and apply over your face evenly. Leave it on for about 10-20 minutes. Why aloe? Aloe soothes inflammation and calms your skin, perfect for those with sensitive, irritated skin.

SJAY’s Tip: I highly recommend this mask, if you have very sensitive skin like me.

Honey Face Mask for Dark Spots

Ingredients: Honey and lemon juice

  • 2 teaspoons  honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice

Preparation + Application: Combine the lemon juice and honey, and apply the mixture to your face. Allow it to sit for 20-30 minutes. Lemon juice excoriates your skin, brightens dark spots and fades scars.

SJAY’s Tip: Your skin will feel soft like a baby’s bottom right away, but it may take a few applications to notice a real difference in scars and spots.
