Social Media Detox

Social Media Detox

I know I’ve been away for a while, but I had a reason for abandoning my blog for almost month and other socials medias sites for a week.

“The world is a lot quieter outside the internet.” – anonymous

I’m sorry for not being active lately. The reason why I took break of social for at least seven days because I always on it. I felt like social media taking over my life outside of the internet like I forgot about what I like to do for fun. As soon as I wake up the first thing I do is look through my medias. As soon as I go to bed and shut the lights it would be last thing I would look at. I felt like another robot in society and a little too dependent on it as well. I was taking a social media detox for a while because I been overwhelmed with school work and life as well. After finish deactivating some social medias I find pointless has been eye opener…

For now and forever, I only have Instagram and Twitter. I deactivated my Facebook and Snapchat, because Facebook to me was basically seeing what people you know in the past is doing with their lives. Snapchat was just another social media just to have because “everybody had it”. I realized why have Snapchat if Instagram has Instagram stories now. Thank you to Instagram for making my life easier by having 1 in 2 and rest in peace to Snapchat.
Have you ever had a social media detox? What did it teach you?
