Diary #4: What I’ve Learned In 2017

Diary #4: What I’ve Learned In 2017

Long time no see my fellow sunshine! Back with you guys with another diary post. Is it me or 2017 went by so fast with a blink of an eye?! I’ve gone through different types experience I would never think I will go through a depression to thinking what am I even doing with my life. I have lost some old friendships due to knowing who’s real and who’s not. 2017 was in-between falling down and getting back up. I’ve learned new things about myself that I didn’t know existed and new things about myself that I was in denial about for a long time. As I explained all the good and bad 2017 has brought me, there are 4 lessons I’ve definitely learned this year.

  • Social media is a big fat LIE!
  • If you want to have positive people in your life,
    change it.

  • Your social circle defines you.

  • You are not alone. No one really knows what they’re doing.
  • Quality over quantity!

Enough about 2017! It’s time for a new start, more positive thinking, and less negative energy.

“You are not alone. No one really knows what they’re doing.” This is my favorite one because it’s a realization I’ve had lately as well. Thank you for being so open and sharing with us. x

I agree with you. I noticed after a year changed that a lot of people are acting like they know what they doing on here, but in reality, they mostly don’t.

Haha. I agree with you and Megan B – it can seem like everyone is getting on well and has their shit together, but no one really does!

    • 01/21/2018 / 11:35 AM

  6. 01/21/2018 / 5:41 PM

Sounds like 2017 summed up. Social media is a lie. Absolutely.

  7. 01/22/2018 / 7:39 AM

Hope 2018 will be even better 2017 for you. Yeah social media is complicated but it’s not 100% lie. 95, may be

    • 01/22/2018 / 12:05 PM

I literally just started busting out laughing after I read your comment. You are right only by at least 95%!

Exactly! A new year means full of positive thinking only.

  9. 01/22/2018 / 12:20 PM

You have poured your feelings in your post. More positive thinking. This is the way to success in each walk of life.

  10. 01/22/2018 / 2:01 PM

These are some valuable lessons and I agree with you 100%! Sometimes we’ve got to cut ourselves some slack.

  11. 01/22/2018 / 2:18 PM

These are so realistic lessons which I think everyone understands or learns at some point in their life. I do believe in these points you have mentioned, I do believe in positivity in and around me, that impacts on how my day or life is going.

  12. 01/22/2018 / 5:14 PM

You learned some great lesson last year. Look how much you’ve grown. Isn’t it exciting to see how much you can grow this year too?!

  13. 01/22/2018 / 5:22 PM

Sounds like you learned some painful lessons in 2017, but on the good side, you learned them. I hope 2018 is filled with lessons that aren’t as painful.

  14. 01/23/2018 / 12:56 AM

Social media is definitely very fake. You have to be careful with what you view as true and what people want you to think!

  15. 01/23/2018 / 2:45 AM

Quality over quantity any day for me too..and the point about social media being a lie is bang on!

Yes, quality over quantity is for sure a life lesson. It looks like you learned some valuable things in 2017 and I hope your 2018 is truly great 🙂

  17. 01/23/2018 / 8:58 AM

Well said. Totally agree with you your social circle defines you .

  18. 01/23/2018 / 10:47 AM

You nailed it to the core! So many fake moments are captured all the time and got posted on Instagram or Facebook then, all of a sudden you’ve just sold a false bill of goods to your circle of friends. Lots of your friends or peepers are jealous and envious of an image which is a complete deceptive. There, mission accomplished!

I learned all things happen at the right time and to enforce positive thinking no matter what.

  22. 01/25/2018 / 9:27 PM

2017 did go by so fast and it defiantly was a rollercoaster of emotions for me. I also found who were my real friends in life and who were just friends to get something out of me.
